Welcome to an outpost on Energy's Final Frontier.

Always undergoing incremental improvements, this unsponsored educational web site is the pro bono effort of a professional engineer who has spent 40+ years working in and around electrical power plant engineering, industrial electricity, and industrial campus energy management systems.  This web site is energy talk from a registered control system engineer, not professional engineering advice.

The Mission Of This Web Site is to create a plan to end Global Warming using existing technology that is feasible, frugal, beneficial, convenient, and predictable.  When this web site is sufficiently complete, the funding to submit the site's plan to a qualified professional engineering firm for detailed analysis will be necessary.

The author is not a nuclear engineer.  He does have an applications engineer's familiarity with the major types of nuclear reactors and has concluded today's helium gas cooled TRISO reactors and tomorrow's thorium fueled, single-fluid molten salt cooled, nuclear reactors are best-suited to address mankind's long-term energy needs.

Please share and question the ideas found here. Please contact me to correct my mistakes and misunderstandings.

Your author does not, and has never had, any connection with General Atomics or AREVA, but did work for an EBASCO competitor, Commonwealth Associates Inc. Engineering, during the 1950s.

Thank you for visiting  coal2nuclear, skyscrubber,  and  thoriumapplications.  I invite your questions, comments, and suggestions. -  Jim Holm
