We went over the Global Warming cliff of 350 ppm CO2 in the 1980s - about the same moment we stopped building nuclear power plants and resumed building coal burning power plants.  Coal Yard Nukes are mankind's opportunity to quickly reduce Global Warming CO2 by about 30% over several years. 

While the Coal Yard Nuke's details are still evolving, sufficient detail has already been accumulated to indicate nothing new needs to be invented, developed, or perfected.  The means to mass produce Coal Yard Nukes - eight automated nuclear-ship capable shipyards exist already.  All that remains to be done is to do it.
